Bluebird
In this moment
When the midnight sky
Turns from shades of indigo
Into an azure hue,
I’m warning you.
This perfect stillness
Won’t last forever,
Though the sky will always be blue.
My mind is a cold steel
In the electric now.
There’s no method to my madness
Or in the turquoise
I will drown.
So my bluebird
Keep singing
In my sapphire core
And keep the perfect stillness
In me
For I am going to war.
